The Administrative Bureau of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone issued the above notice on 26 February 2019 concerning measures to support the development of Hong Kong and Macao youths in Qianhai. The measures include supporting Hong Kong and Macao youths to visit, take up internships and employment, start innovative businesses, optimising their development platform and strengthening their living benefits. The measures are effective from 1 March 2019 and are valid for 3 years.
Abstract
The Administrative Bureau of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone issued the above notice on 26 February 2019 concerning measures to support the development of Hong Kong and Macao youths in Qianhai. The measures include supporting Hong Kong and Macao youths to visit, take up internships and employment, start innovative businesses, optimising their development platform and strengthening their living benefits. The measures are effective from 1 March 2019 and are valid for 3 years. Details of the notice are as follows:
Supporting Hong Kong and Macao youths to visit, take up internships and employment
- Encouraging Qianhai enterprises to provide internship positions, and to provide subsidies to internship employers.
- Encouraging Hong Kong and Macao graduates to work in Qianhai, regularly organize recruitment events for Qianhai enterprises in Hong Kong, provide subsidies to employers and funding to graduates.
- Encouraging young professionals qualified to work in Hong Kong and Macao to practise Qianhai and provide subsidies.
- Offering awards to Qianhai-based Hong Kong and Macao and recognized as high-level talents in Shenzhen.
Supporting Hong Kong youths in starting up innovative business
- Providing subsidies and grant loans to eligible Hong Kong and Macao youths in starting businesses.
- Offering awards of a maximum of RMB 2 million to Hong Kong and Macao youths whose start-up businesses are listed at the Hong Kong or Shenzhen Stock Exchanges.
- Offer awards to Hong Kong and Macao youths whose start-up businesses have obtained High-New Technology Enterprise Recognition in Shenzhen for the first time.
Optimising the development platform for Hong Kong and Macao youths
- Offering awards to professional service enterprises employing 5 or more professionals from Hong Kong and Macao.
- Setting up a Qianhai-Hong Kong-Macao youth committee.
Strengthening the living benefits of Hong Kong and Macao youths
- Set up housing for Hong Kong citizens, allowing Hong Kong and Macao youths based in Qianhai to apply for housing rental, and receive the same treatment in payment and obtaining housing fund as Qianhai residents.
- Provide rental subsidies to Hong Kong and Macao youths residing in Qianhai.
- Provide cross-border transportation subsidies to Hong Kong and Macao youths working and starting businesses in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone.
- Provide equivalent education subsidies to the children of Hong Kong and Macao youths that are offered to Shenzhen household residents
