Notice from the Office of the People's Government of Foshan on Issuing the Implementation Measures for Setting Up Start-Up Incubation Bases for Hong Kong and Macao Youths in Foshan (Fo Fu Ban Han [2019] No. 356)

The Office of the People's Government of Foshan issued the “Implementation Measures for Setting Up Innovation Incubation Bases for Hong Kong and Macao Youths in Foshan” on 6 June 2019. Specific measures include Hong Kong and Macao youths with start-up businesses in Foshan may enjoy the same treatment for start-up training, employment and rental subsidies as local residents. Eligible Hong Kong and Macao youths may receive housing subsidy and be included in the scope for security of tenure in Foshan.
Abstract
The Office of the People's Government of Foshan issued the “Implementation Measures for Setting Up Innovation Incubation Bases for Hong Kong and Macao Youths in Foshan” on 6 June 2019.
Specific measures include the following:
- Hong Kong and Macao youths with start-up businesses in Foshan may enjoy the same start-up, employment and rental subsidies as local residents;
- To speed up the development of sub-bases of the Foshan start-up base for Hong Kong and Macao youths in Nanhai and Shunde District;
- To support eligible Hong Kong and Macao youths in talent housing rental;
- To provide housing subsidy to Hong Kong and Macao youths and supporting them in buying commercial houses in Foshan;
- Optimising social security-related policies for Hong Kong and Macao residents working in Foshan and their children;
- Strengthening the development of the 12355 hotline for Hong Kong and Macao youths, providing them guidance on job-seeking and consulting services for entry and exit;
- Providing travel convenience for Hong Kong and Macao youth entrepreneurs and seeking to offer transportation subsidies to them;
- Regularly organise exchange summer internships in Foshan for Hong Kong and Macao secondary school graduates; and
- Organise exchange activities and innovation competitions for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao youths.
