The Education Bureau of the Nansha District, Guangzhou Municipality issued the “Notice in relation to the Implementation Rules for School Admission for Compulsory Education Stage in the Nansha District, Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 30 April 2021. The Notice stipulates that accompanying children of incoming residents can apply for public degree in the compulsory education stage in the Nansha District or apply for admission to private schools in accordance with relevant regulations. In addition, children of Hong Kong and Macao residents who apply for compulsory education in the Nansha District shall be subject to the relevant regulations stipulated for Hong Kong and Macao residents’ children having compulsory education in the Nansha District.
