On 20 May 2021, the Zhuhai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee issued the “Outline for the 14th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development and Long-Range Objectives Through 2035 in the Zhuhai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone”. The “Outline” summarizes the achievements of the Zhuhai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone during the “13th Five-Year” development period, analyses the development situation, opportunities and challenges faced during the “14th Five-Year” period, and clarifies the guiding ideology and overall requirements. Specific plans include adhering to an innovation-driven development and comprehensively shaping new development advantages; emphasising industry leadership and building a high-end, high-quality and high-tech modern industrial system; deepening regional cooperation and building a new pattern for coordinated development in the Greater Bay Area; promoting new urbanization and improving modern infrastructure support; improving people’s livelihood and well-being, building a civilized, harmonious and happy home; comprehensively deepening reforms and creating a new phase for high-quality and efficient development.
