On 13 October 2021, 24 departments including the Ministry of Commerce issued the “14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Trade in Services”. The plan analyzes the development foundation and development environment of China’s trade in services during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, and clarifies the guiding ideology, basic principles, main goals and specific measures for the “14th Five-Year Plan” period. Among them, specific measures include deepening the reform and opening up of trade in services, accelerating the digitalization process of service trade, optimizing the industry structure of trade in services, improving the regional layout of service trade, expanding the market subject of trade in service trades, deepening foreign cooperation of trade in services and strengthening the guarantee support of trade in service, etc.
