The Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance and Guangdong Provincial Tax Services, State Taxation Administration (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Adjusting the Lower Limit of Basic Pension Insurance Payment Base for Enterprise Employees” on 20 February 2022. The authorities announced that 1 July 2022, the area category of lower limit of the basic pension insurance payment base for enterprise employees in Guangdong Province will be adjusted. Among them, Guangzhou and Shenzhen municipalities are divided into the first category, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan and Zhongshan municipalities are divided into the second category, and Jiangmen and Zhaoqing municipalities are divided into the third category. The Notice would come into effect on 1 July 2022 and will be valid for 3 years.
