The General Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government (“the authority”) issued the “Interim Measures for the Administration for Electronic Seals in the Guangdong Province” (“the Interim Measures”) on 19 April 2022. The authority encouraged qualified urban electronic seal systems in the Guangdong Province to issue free electronic seals for free for social organisations, enterprises, individual industrial and commercial households and other organisations in the administrative regions of the Guangdong Province. The Interim Measures are effective from 19 May 2022 and valid for three years.
