The Guangzhou Municipal Medical Security Bureau (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Extension of Launching the “Sui Sui Kang” Commercial Supplementary Health Insurance Pilot Program during the 2024-2026 Hosting Period” (“the Notice”) on 27 October 2023. The authorities announced to further improve the multi-level healthcare system, achieve seamless integration between social medical insurance and commercial supplementary health insurance, and alleviate the medical expenses burden on insured individuals. Applicable personnel include Hong Kong and Macao residents who are employed, residing, or studying in the Guangzhou Municipal Nansha District. The annual premium for the “Sui Sui Kang” insurance is set at RMB 180 per person.
