On 23 November 2023, the Development and Reform Bureau of Dongguan Municipality issued the “Various Measures for Promoting the Development of the Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Industry Cluster in Dongguan Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures proposed to support the settlement of major strategic projects in Dongguan Municipality, introduce major semiconductor, strategic integrated circuit and strong chain projects, provide support on case-by-case basis for key projects such as semiconductor, integrated circuit design and manufacturing, compound semiconductor, advanced packaging and testing and semiconductor equipment. The support includes assistance in areas such as equipment input, land use, energy consumption, environmental emission index and finance etc.
