On 16 January 2024, the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality issued the “Implementation Measures for Registration Confirmation System for Market Participants in Nansha District of Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures proposed to support Nansha District in carrying out the pilot reform of direct registration of Hong Kong and Macao enterprises and launching a pilot program of a more flexible policy system and regulatory model. The Measures will come into effect on 1 April 2024.
