The Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Bureau, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, and the Ministry of Finance of Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Administration of Kindergarten Fees Standardization in Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 27 March 2024. The authorities announced that the fee items for kindergartens shall be unified as follows: childcare and education fees, service fees and collection fees. The childcare and education fee for standardized public full-time kindergartens is set at RMB823 per month, while the childcare and education fee for demonstration public full-time kindergarten is set at RMB995 per month. These Measures shall be effective from 27 March 2024 and valid for 5 years.
