The People’s Government of Nansha District of the Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Implementation Measure for the Work to Receive Compulsory Education for Accompanying Children of Residents Coming to the Guangzhou Municipal Nansha District” (“the Notice”) on 3 April 2024. The authorities announced that eligible accompanying children shall have two admission options for enrolment into public schools in Nansha District and government purchased private school placement for first grade and seventh grade in Nansha District: centralized placement arrangement and points-based School Enrolment Scheme. These Measures shall be effective from 3 April 2024 and valid for 5 years.
