The Office of People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Implementation Measures for the Selection and Training of Outstanding Technological and Innovative Talents” (“the Notice”) on 19 April 2024. The authorities announced that candidates for outstanding technological and innovative talents are not restricted by nationality or household registration. The training period for selected candidates is 5 years, during which they are required to work full-time in Shenzhen Municipality, and the training funds are divided into three standards: RMB10 million, RMB15 million, and RMB20 million, primarily for the use of enhancing research capabilities and strengthening team establishment. These Measures shall be effective from 15 May 2024 and valid for 5 years.
