On 22 April 2024, the Guangzhou Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau issued the “Administrative Measures for Cultural Creative Demonstration Spaces in Guangzhou Municipal-level Cultural Industry Parks” (“the Measures”). The cultural creative demonstration spaces under the Measures refer to the administrative boundaries of Guangzhou Municipality, open and integrated service spaces that are primarily focused on the cultural industry development and gather a certain number of cultural creative small and micro-enterprises as well as entrepreneurs which could provide corresponding infrastructure support and industry public services. Among the special fund for the development of cultural and tourism industries in Guangzhou Municipality, the Measures aimed to establish a special incentive for the development assessment of parks and spaces. For municipal-level demonstration parks, municipal parks, and demonstration spaces evaluated as Excellent or above, an incentive of up to RMB100,000, RMB80,000, and RMB50,000 will be offered respectively. The Measures will be implemented from 1 June 2024 and will be effective for 5 years.
