On 26 April 2024, the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen Municipality issued the “16 Measures for Collaboratively Creating an Intellectual Property Innovation Hub in Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong” (“the Measures”). The Measures are effective from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023, with the application period from 26 April 2024 to 31 May 2024. The Measures specified that the eligible applicants shall be Hong Kong-funded enterprises that are registered in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone and invested by Hong Kong investors with at least 25% shares. Hong Kong investors under the Measures refer to legal entities registered or established in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with substantial business operations.
