The Ministry of Education in Guangzhou Municipal Baiyun District (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Enrolment Plan for Compulsory Education of Accompanying Children of Hong Kong and Macao Residents Holding Residence Permits (or Children and Youth with Residence Permits) in Guangzhou Municipal Baiyun District” (“the Notice”) on 30 April 2024. The authorities announced that eligible accompanying children of Hong Kong and Macao residents shall have centralized placement arrangement coordinated by the Education Guidance Center based on their place of residence or apply for admission to the Hong Kong and Macao children classes of Pui Ying Middle School.
