Zhongshan Municipal Housing Provident Fund Management Center (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Administrative Measures for the Housing Provident Funds in Zhongshan Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 30 April 2024. The authorities announced that individuals from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, who are employed in Zhongshan Municipality can contribute to the housing provident funds in accordance with these Measures. The monthly deposit amount of the employee’s housing provident fund shall be calculated by multiplying the employee’s average monthly salary of the previous year by the housing provident fund contribution rate. These Measures shall be effective from 1 May 2024 and valid for 5 years.
