On 9 May 2024, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province issued the “Special Implementation Plan for Further Attracting and Utilizing Foreign Investment in Guangdong Province” (“the Plan”). The Plan applied to foreign-invested enterprises established in the cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, and Zhongshan in Guangdong province. If the new actual foreign capital investment amount reaches USD50 million or more per year, high-tech manufacturing enterprises will be provided a reward of up to 3% of the new actual foreign capital investment amount. The implementation period of the Plan is from 2023 to 2027.
