On 13 May 2024, the Binhai Bay Management Committee of Dongguan Municipality issued the “Action Plan for Strong Cultural Area in the Binhai Bay of Dongguan Municipality” (“the Plan”). The Plan proposed to promote high-quality development of cultural manufacturing in Binhai Bay Area and build cultural intelligent manufacturing in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. In addition, the Plan aimed to establish cultural intelligent manufacturing research and development centres, leverage the leading role of the research and development centres of key cultural technology enterprises and introduce a batch of cultural intelligent manufacturing research and development centres by new types of industry land.
