On 30 May 2024, the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce issued the notice of “Utilizing the Valuable Experiences and Implementing the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (“RCEP”) agreement in High-quality” (“the Notice”). The Notice proposed to vigorously expand the cooperation mode of cross-border e-commerce, establish a new “cross-border e-commerce plus international logistics” model targeting RCEP members through comprehensive pilot zones, and attract high-quality enterprises in building a cross-border e-commerce logistics supply chain system. In addition, the Notice aimed to support enterprises in establishing overseas warehouses oriented towards the RCEP members and actively expand into the RCEP market.
