The Ministry of Education in Shenzhen Municipal Longhua District (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Doing a Good Job in Enrolment Work for Compulsory Education of New Student in the 2024-2025 School Year” (“the Notice”) on 30 May 2024. The authorities announced that enrolment for compulsory education is based on proximity without entrance examination. The enrolment plan shall be formulated according to the actual situation in each district and the enrolment scope shall be reasonably determined. Students from Hong Kong and Macao who apply for school enrolment in compulsory education in Shenzhen Municipality shall refer to the relevant regulations for children of non-residents in Shenzhen Municipality receiving compulsory education and must submit relevant materials.
