On 13 June 2024, the General Affairs Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government issued the “Three-Year Action Plan for Promoting the Development of Modern Engineering Services Industry in Shenzhen Municipality (2024- 2026)” (“the Plan”). The Plan proposes to support Shenzhen-Hong Kong/Dual-City Biennial Urban Architecture, Hong Kong enterprises, universities or R&D centres in Shenzhen and encourage the relevant planning and design societies to organise academic seminars and talent exchange activities to strengthen the technological exchanges and co-operation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The Plan encourages the industry to integrate into the construction of major national economic circles such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, etc, and actively participate in international competition.
