On 18 June 2024, the Management Committee of the Guangzhou Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone and the Bureau of Science, Technology, Industry, Commerce, and Information Technology of Haizhu District of Guangzhou Municipality issued the “Implementation Rules for Constructing the Large Model Application Demonstration Zone of Artificial Intelligence in Haizhu District of Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Rules”). The Rules proposed to provide scale-up development subsidies for key integrated circuit design enterprises in Haizhu District. If enterprises have newly added self-used office space in the current year and subsequent two years with their annual operating revenue exceeding RMB20 million, 50 million, and 100 million without significant safety accidents, they will be offered a subsidy of up to 90% of the actual annual office rental with a maximum of RMB3 million per year. The Rules will be implemented from 18 June 2024 and remain to be valid until 20 March 2027.
