On 18 June 2024, the General Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province issued the “Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Modernised Pilot Platform System to Promote Strength in Industry and Technology” (“the Opinions”). The Opinions propose to build Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area pilot test service centre, enhance the capability of supply-demand docking of pilot test services, and build internationally pilot test transformational bases of advanced information technology, biomedical technology, artificial intelligence, and digital economy. With high-quality scientific and technological achievements, innovative talents and financial capital, the Opinions strengthen the docking with Hong Kong and Macao enterprises, universities, and research institutes. The Opinions will be implemented from 18 June 2024.
