The Commerce Bureau of Guangzhou Development Zone (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of the Commerce Bureau of Guangzhou Development Zone in relation to Carrying out the Implementation Rules for Promoting High-quality Development of Talents in the Guangzhou Development Zone (Huangpu District)” (“the Notice”) on 19 June 2024. The authorities proposed that outstanding entrepreneurs with contributions to Guangzhou Development Zone (Huangpu District) will be granted free residence period of up to 3 years. The outstanding contributing entrepreneurs must be recommended by their respective enterprises. Each enterprise can recommend at most 1 entrepreneur each year. The Notice is effective from 19 June 2024 and will be valid until 7 February 2027.
