The Huangpu District Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Bureau and the Construction and Transportation Bureau of Guangzhou Development Zone issued the “Notice in relation to the Interim Management Measures for Professional Enterprises and Professionals from Hong Kong and Macao in Construction Engineering” (“the Notice”) on 21 June 2024. The authorities proposed that professional enterprises and professionals from Hong Kong and Macao with construction and related engineering qualifications are eligible to provide services to market entities within the Huangpu District directly provided that they have fulfilled the specified conditions. The Measures will be effective from 21 June 2024 and will be valid for 3 years.
