On 21 June 2024, the Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality issued the “Work Plan for Optimizing the International Business Environment in Shenzhen Municipality (2023- 2025)” (“the Plan”). The Plan encourages foreign-invested enterprises to carry out investment projects, biomedical clinical trials, cross-border financial services and credit platforms in Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone. The Plan expands the recognition of overseas professional qualifications, supports international talents to practice and start business in Shenzhen, and supports Hong Kong universities or affiliated schools to collaborate in research and innovation in Shenzhen. The Plan will be implemented from 21 June 2024.
