On 21 June 2024, the Authority of Qianhai of Shenzhen Municipality issued the “Implementation Measures of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Co-operation Zone Authority in Support of Science and Technology Innovation” (“the Measures”). The Measures apply to institutions engaged in strategic emerging industries, future industries, information services, technology services, and other relevant fields in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone. Eligible organisations will receive support not exceeding RMB 20 million per year. The Measures provide Hong Kong and Macau institutions with various forms of support, including one-time rewards for innovative products, subsidies for R&D equipment, research and experimentation grants, and rental subsidies. The Measures will be implemented from 1 July 2024 and will be valid for 3 years.
