On 27 June 2024, the Science and Technology Bureau of Huangpu District and Development Area of Guangzhou Municipality issued the “Policy Measures to Promote High-Quality Development of Talents in Guangzhou Development Area (Huangpu District) (“the Measures”). The Measures propose to create innovative and entrepreneurial leading teams in key industries or emerging industries such as new generation information technology and artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new energy and new materials, etc., and to give each team project up to RMB10 million for start-up funding and up to RMB10 million for direct equity investment support, as well as support team leader with RMB1 million for living allowance. The Measures will be implemented from 27 June 2024 and valid until 7 February 2027.
