On 8 July 2024, the Authority of Qianhai of Shenzhen Municipality and Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality issued the “Action Plan on Promoting the Clustering of Leading Supply Chain Enterprises (2024-2026)” (“the Plan”). The Plan proposes to establish a working mechanism for approved collection of cross-border E-commerce, to launch a pilot scheme for cross-border E-commerce retail importation of medicines in conjunction with Hong Kong and Macao, to establish a whitelist of pilot medicines, and allow eligible medicines from Hong Kong and Macao to be imported by cross-border E-commerce retail. The Plan supports the construction of an integrated transport network with 30-minute access to the core cities in the Greater Bay Area and one-hour direct access to other cities in the Greater Bay Area. The Measures will be implemented from 8 July 2024.
