The Management Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Housing Provident Fund (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Renewal of the “Interim Administrative Provisions on the Payment and Use of Housing Provident Funds by Persons under Flexible Employment in Shenzhen Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 8 July 2024. The authorities proposed that the contribution rate of the housing provident fund for Persons under flexible employment shall not be lower than 10% of their contribution base and shall not exceed 24% of the contribution base. The Notice is effective from 20 July 2021 and will be valid until 19 July 2027.
