The People’s Government of Zhuhai Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Measures for the Basic Medical Insurance in Zhuhai Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 18 July 2024. The authorities proposed that employee medical insurance premiums are to be paid on a monthly basis. The total contribution rate for employee medical insurance is 7.5%, in which the contribution rate of employer is 6% (including 0.5% for maternity insurance) and the contribution rate of employee is 1.5%. The Notice is effective from 18 July 2024.
