On 24 July 2024, the Office of the People’s Government of Dongguan issued the “Implementation Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Low-Altitude Economy in Dongguan Municipality (2024-2026)” (“the Plan”). The Plan explores the establishment of a cross-border logistics dedicated line between the Airport Centre and Hong Kong International Airport to meet the requirements of enterprises in terms of economy, safety, and timeliness. The Plan focuses on the demand for cross-border low-altitude passenger and cargo transportation, promoting the transportation scenarios for low-altitude passenger and cargo services. The Plan is effective from 27 August 2024.
