The Ministry of Commerce (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Various Measures on Providing High-level Opening-up and Facilitating the Accommodation of Overseas Residents” (“the Notice”) on 25 July 2024. The authorities proposed to further optimize the management and service of accommodation providers regarding the foreigner registration for accommodation, simplify the information collection process, and improve communication channels for foreigners. The Notice will be effective from 25 July 2024.
