On 5 August 2024, the People’s Government of Zhuhai Municipality issued the “Various Measures for Promoting the High-Quality Development of Biomedical and Health Industry in Zhuhai Municipality (Revised)” (“the Measures”). The Measures apply to biomedical enterprises in Zhuhai Municipality (excluding the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Co-operation Zone). The Measures encourage the local production of imported and listed pharmaceuticals and medical devices in Zhuhai. For enterprises with a cumulative sales volume of a single product reaching no less than RMB 20 million, a reward not exceeding 15% of the project equipment purchase amount will be provided. Meanwhile, the annual reward for a single enterprise shall not exceed RMB 10 million. The Measures will be implemented from 5 August 2024 and will be valid until 31 December 2025.
