On 6 August 2024, the Office of the People’s Government of Zhuhai Municipality issued the “Various Measures for Promoting the Development of Integrated Circuit Industry in Zhuhai Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures provide subsidies to newly established high-end R&D enterprises with a total investment of RMB 300 million at a rate not exceeding 20 per cent of the actual cost of their acquisition of software and R&D equipment, up to a maximum of RMB 50 million; and subsidies of up to 20 per cent of the enterprise's equipment investment, up to a maximum of RMB 100 million, are provided to newly established and newly expanded fixed-asset investment of RMB 1 billion in the IC field for production and manufacturing projects. The Measures are effective from 6 August 2024 and will be valid until 31 December 2026.
