The General Office of the People’s Government of Huizhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to “Interim Measures for the Establishment and Management of Kindergarten Care Classes by the Huizhou Municipal Hygiene and Health Bureau and the Huizhou Municipal Education Bureau” (“the Notice”) on 12 August 2024. The authorities proposed that children must be at or above the age of 2 to enrol in kindergarten care classes and each class should not be more than 20 children. Each class shall be equipped with nursing staffs, with a ratio of nursing staff to children shall not be lower than 1: 7. The Notice is effective from 22 August 2024 and valid for 3 years.
