On 24 September 2024, the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Nansha District of Guangzhou Municipality issued the “Support Measures in relation to Promoting the High-Quality Development of Cybersecurity and Data Services Industry in Nansha New Area (Free Trade Zone) of Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures provide incentives to enterprises newly introduced into Nansha New Area to encourage the enterprises to develop cybersecurity or data service-related businesses. In particular, a one-off reward of RMB100,000 will be given to information and software enterprises exceeding the designated scale for the first time, and a one-off reward of RMB200,000 will be given to industrial enterprises exceeding the designated scale for the first time. The Measures shall be effective from 24 September 2024 and valid until 31 December 2025.
