On 25 September 2024, the General Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province issued the “Various Measures in relation to Supporting Dongguan in Deepening Cross-Strait Innovative Development Cooperation in Guangdong Province” (“the Measures”). The Measures strengthen the construction of trade logistics platforms, support the development of the Hong Kong International Airport Logistics Park in Dongguan, as well as promote the mechanism connection and information sharing between port and aviation regulatory departments. The Measures will implement equal treatment for registered mainland freight forwarding companies and Hong Kong freight forwarding companies and expedite customs clearance. The Measures shall be effective from 25 September 2024.
