On 28 October 2024, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of Issuing the “Work Plan for Accelerating the High-quality Development of Biomanufacturing Industry in Guangzhou Municipality”” (“the Plan”). The Plan supports establishing an innovative core area for biomanufacturing in Guangzhou Municipality, and plans to construct a biomanufacturing industrial park, with key focus in sectors such as biopharmaceuticals, biological food, and biological environment.
