The Medical Security Bureau of the Zhongshan Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Adjusting the Settlement Method of Family Planning Medical Expenses for Outpatient Services” (“the Notice”) on 4 November 2024. The authorities proposed that outpatient family planning medical expenses incurred by employment maternity insurance participants in designated maternity medical institutions in Zhongshan Municipality shall be settled by the municipal medical security agency with the designated medical institution item by item. The Notice will be effective from 1 January 2025 and valid for 3 years.
