Notice in relation to Adjusting the Housing Provident Fund Policy

The Management Centre of Guangzhou Housing Provident Fund (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Adjusting the Housing Provident Fund Policy” (“the Notice”) on 26 November 2024. The authorities proposed that the minimum down payment ratio is set at 20% for purchase of the first and second self-occupied residential property using housing provident fund loans. For the purchase of social security housing, the minimum down payment ratio for housing provident fund loans is 15%. The Notice will be effective until 26 November 2029.
