The Guangzhou Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Extending the Validity Period of the Management Measures for Talent Apartments in Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 27 November 2024. The authorities proposed that in the major innovative function area with convenient transportation, production service, administrative office, and living service facilities can account for 35% of the total building area of the region, among which, talent apartments and dormitories could account for up to 50%. The Notice will be effective on 1 January 2025 and will remain valid for 2 years.
