Notice in relation to “Administrative Measures for Rationed Affordable Housing in Guangzhou Municipality (Interim)”

The General Office of the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to “Administrative Measures for Rationed Affordable Housing in Guangzhou Municipality (Interim)” (“the Notice”) on 28 November 2024. The authorities proposed that the single unit area of newly constructed rationed affordable housing should not exceed 90 square metres. Applications for allocated affordable housing must be submitted on a family basis, with each family allowed to own one unit of rationed affordable housing.
