Notice in relation to the Action Plan for Improving the Modern Business Circulation System and Promoting the High-quality Development of the Wholesale and Retail Industry

On 28 November 2024, the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce and 9 other departments (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Action Plan for Improving the Modern Business Circulation System and Promoting the High-quality Development of the Wholesale and Retail Industry” (“the Plan”). The Plan announced to promote the platform-based development in the wholesale industry, cultivate platform-type commodity markets, promote the upgrading of large commodity markets, encourage the collaboration between commodity markets and overseas economic and trade cooperation zones, and establish international commodity distribution centres.
