Notice in relation to Extending the Validity Period of the Public Rental Housing Security Measures for Newly Employed Workers Without Housing in Guangzhou Municipality

The Guangzhou Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Extending the Validity Period of the Public Rental Housing Security Measures for Newly Employed Workers Without Housing in Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 13 December 2024. The authorities proposed that newly employed workers without housing can apply for public rental housing either in their own name or as a family unit. They may also apply for shared rental arrangements with other qualified newly employed workers without housing. The Notice is effective on 1 March 2025 and remain valid for 5 years.
