Notice of Issuing the “Action Plan for Further Promoting the Digital Renminbi Work in Guangzhou Municipality” (Sui Jin Wei Ban [2025] No. 7)

On 3 January 2025, the Office of Financial Commission of the CPC Committee of Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice of Issuing the “Action Plan for Further Promoting the Digital Renminbi Work in Guangzhou Municipality”” (“the Plan”). The Plan announced to actively promote the participation of digital Renminbi operating institutions and relevant enterprises in the pilot test of the Multi-CBDC Bridge in the Guangzhou regions through integration of bank construction work in the Greater Bay Area.
