Notice in relation to Adjusting the Support Policy for Academic Scholarships of Graduate Student at Provincial Universities and Research Institutions

The Department of Finance of Guangdong Province and the Department of Education of Guangdong Province (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Adjusting the Support Policy for Academic Scholarships of Graduate Student at Provincial Universities and Research Institutions” (“the Notice”) on 17 January 2025. The authorities proposed to increase the provincial financial support standard for academic scholarships of graduate students in 2025. The scholarship for master’s students will rise from RMB8,000 to RMB10,000 whilst the scholarship for doctoral students will increase from RMB10,000 to RMB12,000 per year.
