“One Exemption and Two Reductions” Housing Policy Measures for Newly-settled Youth Talent in Zhuhai Municipality

The Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Zhuhai Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “One Exemption and Two Reductions” Housing Policy Measures for Newly-settled Youth Talent in Zhuhai Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 6 February 2025. The authorities proposed that Hong Kong and Macao residents who start their first employment in Zhuhai Municipality after 1 June 2023 and hold a full-time master’s degree or a senior technician qualification, are eligible to apply for preferential housing treatment. In particular, they can enjoy a rent exemption for the first year, followed by a 30% rent reduction in the second year and a 50% reduction in the third year.
