The Single E‑lock Scheme (SELS) expedites cargo transhipment across the land boundary between Hong Kong and the Mainland by using an electronic lock and GPS equipment. Duplicate inspection of the same consignment can be reduced. Currently, there are over 60 clearance points in Guangdong covering all nine Mainland municipalities in the Greater Bay Area. Together with the 13 clearance points in Hong Kong, SELS offers over 800 route options for the logistics industry.
